Weather woman Keisha Burns announced Monday, January 17, 2022, that she was leaving NBC 5 after nearly five years in the Dallas / Fort Worth metro. Burns made the announcement on her Facebook page saying, “I’ll miss my news family, but looking forward to what’s to come.” She was last on the morning show on Friday, January 14 for her normal Today show appearance.
Keisha Burns Career History
Keisha Burns arrived at KXAS in February 2017 after spending seven years at KING and NWCN-TV in Seattle, Washington where she was a weather anchor. She started her career in Cheyanne, Wyoming at KGWN-TV as a weekend anchor and dayside reporter. Later she worked as an anchor, reporter, and weathercaster at KTVZ-TV in Bend, Oregon where she reported on weather, crime, and politics.
Remaining at NBC 5 on the weather team are Chief Meteorologist Rick Mitchell and meteorologists David Finfrock, Samantha Davies, and Grant Johnston.

According to her wiki page, Keisha Burns graduated from Cal State University Northridge with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and a Minor in Geography.
